Will you tell anyone else about what I talk about?

You can contact the SDC for confidential support about anything that is important to you no matter how big or small it may seem.

“Confidentiality means not telling anyone else about what you’ve said. It means you can be safe talking to the SDC about what is happening to you, or how you feel about something, knowing we won’t tell anyone.”

We always want to keep any contact you make with the SDC confidential, but if something that is said causes us to worry about your safety or the safety of others we will talk about it with you first if we need to take action. We will inform you of when the information will be passed on, what we will do with the information and who it will be passed onto.

How long will it take for my appointment with the SDC?

We aim to see you as soon as we can, a member of SDC staff will contact you with your appointment details.

But remember, you can always ask a member of staff or look at the useful links for advice at any time.

Can I contact you more than once?

You can contact the SDC’s ‘Let’s talk about it’ campaign about anything that is important to you, no matter how big or small it may seem as many times as you need to.

What happens if I need help or advice on a weekend or during the holidays? Can I still contact you?

You can contact the SDC at anytime, but a member of staff will only be available for advice, support and appointments during school hours.

If you need advice and support outside these times you will find help and guidance on our useful links pages.
